SOZO Recovery Center is a faith-based long-term recovery center for adult males who suffer from addiction to alcohol and other drugs, including prescription pain medications. By design, our client population is limited to 15 men who receive maximum individual attention and mentoring. Each resident has either a private or semi-private bedroom which respects the client’s need for privacy, rest, study and reflection.
The program consists of two primary levels of care: Residential Treatment and Outpatient Treatment. Unlike other programs, the move from residential to outpatient care is a seamless transition with the resident continuing to live on campus surrounded by familar faces and living environment. Most residents get jobs while in outpatient treatment. This continuing support for clients as they re-enter society is a critically important factor in avoiding relapse. The average stay is six months, with many clients staying for 12 months or more.
Key differences in the SOZO program that allow us to achieve a remarkably high success rate are:
Homelike setting that allows for reflection and spiritual growth
Long term care
Participation in the culture and life of a local church congregation
The blending of the 12 Step Recovery Model with Christian principals found in the Bible
Relapse prevention education
Frequent one-on-one counseling sessions
Outstanding curriculum that engrosses the men and encourages learning
A dedication to achieve lifelong sobriety for each resident
